SENIOR COMPANY

SENIOR COMPANY
13 - 18 years
Senior Company offers our highest level of dance, singing, and acting training in New Plymouth. Students train across three sessions each week, totalling up to 10 hours of elite, triple-threat development designed for committed performers.
Our programme includes the NZAMD syllabus, giving students structured progression, strong technical foundations, and nationally recognised qualification pathways. While most dance schools stay stagnant and work on the same exam material all year, Company students work year round on dance technique, and learning and retaining choreography quickly. This means we can achieve fantastic exam results quickly, saving more time for all the more exciting skills and opportunities we offer!
Senior Company also benefits from THESPA Guests workshops, where leading industry professionals provide expert coaching and real-world insight into the performing arts industry in Aotearoa.
Instead of separating classes into styles or disciplines, Senior Company works within set weekly hours where students arrive ready for anything. This integrated model creates versatile, adaptable, and confident performers, ideal for those pursuing high-level dance classes, acting classes, or musical theatre training in New Plymouth.
At THESPA, every student is encouraged to grow as a singer, dancer, actor, and musician. Senior Company students support each other, step beyond comfort zones, and build the resilience needed to thrive on stage.

This programme bridges the gap between recreational training and the demands of Senior Company, giving students the perfect level of challenge for their age and stage of development.
Students train using the NZAMD syllabus, ensuring structured progression, strong technique, and confidence in learning and retaining choreography, skills that set them up for success as they move into higher-level performing arts training. While most dance schools stay stagnant and work on the same exam material all year, Company students work year round on dance technique, and learning and retaining choreography quickly. This means we can achieve fantastic exam results quickly, saving more time for all the more exciting skills and opportunities we offer!
Intermediate Company also gains access to THESPA Guests workshops, where top industry professionals bring fresh expertise and real-world guidance from across Aotearoa.
With carefully structured weekly hours, Intermediate Company is ideal for busy students balancing school, sport, and extracurricular commitments, while still allowing time to train at a high standard in the performing arts. This balanced schedule ensures young performers can thrive without burnout.
Intermediate Company students also work closely with our Seniors during Saturday sessions, strengthening our signature “team-sport” approach.
